Yoga Basics:
A great way to start. Learn the fundamentals of posture, breathing, and relaxation while building strength, flexibility, and stamina. This class offers basic concepts of yoga to establish or deepen your grasp of the yoga principles that apply to other classes.
Restorative Yoga:
This is a gentle and therapeutic style of Yoga that uses props to support the body to deepen the benefits of the poses. It is a practice that promotes the effects of conscious relaxation. Sometimes can include Reiki Energy, like extra support, both physical and emotional, to facilitate the release of stress due to injury, illness, or everyday aches.
Hatha/Hatha Flow:
Hatha yoga attempts to balance mind via physical postures or "asanas", controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. Asanas teach poise, balance and strength and are practiced to improve the body's physical health and clear the mind in preparation for meditation. Hatha Flow - takes the asanas and links them seamlessly to one another.
Alignment Yoga:
Experience your practice with a deeper awareness of how the muscular skeletal system works and helping to do it in harmony and security, offering a greater sense of balance, strength and flexibility. Objects are used, not as a crutch, but to your favor, opening and increasing the potential of your body for the practice of Yoga. This class is beneficial for practitioners with injuries, as if it is without, a great stability is accomplished in the asanas (postures) and organic energy begins to flow naturally, providing greater openness and comfort to the physical body. Each class will focus on a specific aspect of practice (such as hip opening, twists, inversions, backbends etc.) Classes also include pranayama (breath work) and meditation. As you learn the basics of alignment, you experience the stability and comfort, and the mind can then begin to quiet, the breath becomes more even, and you are left with the full benefit of an asana practice.
